Summary

Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge Establishment Act - Establishes the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge (Refuge) which shall consist of specified lands and waters in Michigan, including the Wyandotte National Wildlife Refuge.

Requires the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, to: (1) conduct a study of fish and wildlife habitat and aquatic and terrestrial communities of the north reach of the River, from the northernmost point of Ojibway Shores north to the mouth of Lake St. Clair, for potential inclusion in the Refuge; and (2) submit a report containing the results to Congress.

Authorizes the Secretary to: (1) use available authority for the conservation of fish and wildlife and for provision of fish and wildlife dependent recreational opportunities in the Refuge; and (2) ensure that compatible hunting, fishing, wildlife observation and photography, and environmental education and interpretation are the priority public uses of the Refuge.

Authorizes the Secretary to enter into cooperative agreements with the State of Michigan, any political subdivision thereof, or any other person or entity: (1) for the management of lands within the Refuge owned by such person or entity; and (2) to promote public awareness of the Refuge's resources and encourage public participation in the conservation of those resources.
