Summary

The Congressional Research Service’s plain-language summary of what the law does.

Requires the Chief Justice of the United States to appoint to the National Study Commission on Records and Documents of Federal Officials a member of the Federal judiciary in lieu of a member of the Supreme Court as is presently provided by law. Allows all members of the Commission the same per diem travel and transportation expenses allowed other Federal agency officials.

Extends the life of the Commission until March 31, 1977.
